School Accountability Committee
The Role of the SAC
The School Accountability Committee (SAC) is an autonomous committee whose role is to provide input from various stakeholders that will support the board’s efforts to develop policy and the administration’s efforts to implement those policies, including an effective accountability plan. The primary means for accomplishing this are to review the Academy’s three accountability plans that are submitted early in each school year and to conduct primary research (survey, focus groups, interviews, town hall meetings, etc.) regarding the parents’ thoughts about the school.
